Tuition Assistance

Northwest Girlchoir believes every young person should have access to an outstanding music education.

Northwest Girlchoir believes every young singer should be able to join our choir regardless of their family’s ability to pay full tuition.  We offer need-based tuition assistance for choir, tours, and summer camp. Because of our commitment to equity and access – and thanks to the generosity of individual and foundation donors – our total tuition assistance amount has more than tripled since 2021.

Tour and camp tuition assistance applications are made available at registration time, prior to each event. Decisions are made by our Tuition Assistance Committee, comprised of the Executive Director and members of the Board of Directors. Each application is handled confidentially; neither the names nor the amount of specific awards is shared publicly in any way.

To apply for tuition assistance, fill out your choir enrollment form and check the box for “I will be applying for financial aid.” You’ll then be sent a link to the tuition assistance application form. No need to pay or commit until you review and accept your tuition assistance offer.

Our Commitment to Equity

Because all members of a community benefit from equity work, equity is a core value of Northwest Girlchoir. With an intersectional approach, including racial and gender equity, we deliberately and continuously interrogate and dismantle all forms of structural oppression within our organization. Our programs and policies affirm each individual’s identity, experience, and heritage, creating a just and welcoming community. Together, we celebrate inclusivity through joyful music-making.
