outreach

Northwest Girlchoir is connecting with a strong local community.

Northwest Girlchoir is committed to equity and access and to sharing our music with audience members from all backgrounds.

Throughout the year, we engage audiences at schools and retirement homes and invite them to join us at our mainstage concerts. In recent years we have performed free concerts at schools such as Tukwila Elementary, Olympic Hills Elementary, Meridian Park Elementary, and James Baldwin Elementary, and retirement homes including Hearthstone, Horizon House, and Mountlake Terrace’s Vineyard Park.

If you have ideas for collaboration or would like us to perform at your school, community center, or retirement home, please contact info@northwestgirlchoir.org. If you’re interested in partnering with us to fund our outreach programs, please contact Executive Director Jill Clymer.

Our Commitment to Equity

Because all members of a community benefit from equity work, equity is a core value of Northwest Girlchoir. With an intersectional approach, including racial and gender equity, we deliberately and continuously interrogate and dismantle all forms of structural oppression within our organization. Our programs and policies affirm each individual’s identity, experience, and heritage, creating a just and welcoming community. Together, we celebrate inclusivity through joyful music-making.
